Q: What's this site for?

A: This site was created for employers and employees of (primarily) hourly/part-time/shift type jobs. The site allows employees to swap shifts easily by keeping a clear and concise list that can be accessed from just about anywhere. The site also allows employers to easily post/edit weekly schedules. A few of the other resources that the site provides are: a contacts list (with employee names, numbers, and email addresses), a calendar, a links page, and many others.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Nothing. Sub List Online is completely free to use for employers and employees alike.

Q: Why did you create this site?

A: Click here to go to the "About Us" page where I answer this question.

Q: How do I create an account?

A: Click here to go to the home page where you can create an account.

There are three accounts that can be (and need to be) created. The three are: company, manager and employee accounts. Here is how all three are created.

First, a manager will create a company account. While creating a company account, the manager will choose a company code word/phrase and a company password. When a manager creates a company account, he/she will also create an account for him/herself.

Next, the manager will do one of two things: one, he/she will create accounts for each employee; or two, the manager will let the employees know what the company code and password are so that they can create accounts on their own.

For an employee (who knows the company code and password) to create an account, simply go to the home page and click on the link under "New users" and "employees." Then follow the instructions.

If a second manager wants to create an account, the first manager must log in and click on "manager page." Then click on "Manager Accounts" and finally on "add a manager."

Q: Is there a working demo that I can try out?

A: There sure is!! Just type in "emp" as the user name and "emp" as the password. That will log you in as an employee to see what the site could look like if your company was to use it. If you would like to test the site as a manager, type in "man" as the user name, and "man" as the password.

Q: Can a manager list a shift that needs to be taken?

A: Yes. If you have a manager account, simply log into your account and click on add an entry. Manager shifts will appear as green listings to employees.
